Team members bring diverse experiences and backgrounds and operate as a geographically dispersed, networked, virtually connected team, with a physical office in Rocky River, Ohio. We coordinate all tasks, projects, and initiatives through frequent communication and digital technology, which allows Morino Ventures to seamlessly staff and support the Leap Ambassadors Community. Everyone on the Morino Ventures team plays a role—both large and small—in support of the Leap Ambassadors Community. Half of the team are full-time associates and half are consultants with a time commitment ranging from 10 to 75 percent. As a collaborative and adaptive team focused on learning and continuous improvement, we make equity intentional and core to our culture as we strive to create value and produce meaningful contributions to the field. The Leap of Reason Ambassadors Community is an initiative of the Morino Institute where it was incubated. It resides within the Morino Institute to provide the community a legal entity able to hold and maintain copyrights, trademarks, legal agreements, etc. on its behalf. These assets will be transferred, when the community becomes its own self-sustaining entity or one operating within or in partnership with a larger, mission-aligned entity.

The community benefits directly and indirectly from the advisors retained by Morino Ventures and the Morino family:

  • Baker Hostetler LLP – General Legal Counsel and Estate Planning Counsel
  • Bober Markey Fedorovic – Accounting and Tax Services
  • The Fedeli Group – Insurance and Risk Management
  • Main Stream Enterprises – Strategy and Planning
  • Monticello Associates – Investment Management
  • Morgan Stanley – Investment Management
  • The Moskowitz Firm LLC – Intellectual Property (IP) and Digital Rights Counsel
  • Oswald Companies – Insurance and Risk Management

Community operational and support costs are fully covered by Morino Ventures. Morino Ventures is committed to providing this support and funding through 2023, which includes management of the Leap Ambassadors support team, compensation of the full- and part-time Morino Ventures team members allocated to the initiative, community events (e.g., convenings), materials publication and fulfillment, information production, packaging and dissemination, and the community’s website and social media platforms. Morino Ventures also provides, at its expense, management, technology, and administrative services to support the community, including technology services and support for the Leap team and community, software licenses (e.g., Dropbox, Slack, SharpSpring) and all related payroll, tax, and insurance for the Leap team. Morino Ventures covers the development, maintenance, and management of a contact (CRM) database implemented via Salesforce. The database serves multiple uses including the distribution of the monthly Leap Update newsletter by Morino Institute; the dissemination of news, announcements, and deliverables on behalf of the Leap Community; and data and information capture to support and grow the community. An export or copy of the contact information to support the Leap Community will be made available to the community for porting, with substantial assistance from Morino Ventures, to a CRM of its choosing when it becomes its own entity.

Since 2013, Morino Ventures has been committed to providing strong infrastructure and backbone support to the community to see it grow into a thriving community and provide the foundation for ambassadors to eventually establish the ties and support that can result in it becoming its own entity independent of Morino Ventures.
