National Council of Nonprofits (NCN) and the Leap Ambassadors Community are committed to providing a website that is accessible to people with disabilities and improving the user experience for everyone. We have made our best efforts to comply with the recommendations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG) as published by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). However, even though NCN works diligently to make leapambassadors.org (website) accessible to users, we cannot guarantee that every page conforms to WCAG 2.0 Level AA.

If you are having difficulty getting the information you need, please let us know, so that we can offer you assistance:

The website is currently audited and monitored through Ignitro, a third-party company that reviews our website for accessibility compliance to WCAG 2.0 Level AA guidelines. Although there is no definitive test of conformance to Level AA, Ignitro uses a variety of methods for assessing accessibility, including automated testing and physical tests using screenreaders and keyboard-only navigation.

The website includes the following accessibility features, to the extent possible:

  1. Site Structure: We use appropriate headings, lists, paragraphs and other formatting features so that you can navigate the website with assistive technology.
  2. Text Equivalents: People who either can’t see images or hear audio may need some form of a text equivalent to understand our content. We’re working to ensure all of our images and multimedia are fully accessible through alternative text, captions and transcripts.
  3. Full Keyboard Access: We have made efforts to ensure that all portions of the website can be accessed using a keyboard.

If you find that any portion of the website does not yet include these features, please contact us so we may ensure that such features are implemented.

Standards Compliance (per Ignitro, as of 2/1/2022)

  1. All static pages on the website follow priorities 1 & 2 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.
  2. All static pages on the website validate as HTML5.
  3. All static pages on the website use structured semantic markup. H1 tags are used for main titles, H2, H3 and H4 tags for subtitles.

Known Accessibility Issues:

We are diligently working to resolve the following issues:

  1. We are in the process of converting our PDFs to conformant versions.
  2. We are in the process of providing captions and transcripts for older audio and video materials.
  3. We are in the process of adding alternative text detail to images added to the website prior to October 2021.

In the meantime, if you have any difficulty, please contact us so we may assist.

Third party websites and applications:

The website embeds tools hosted by third parties including:

  1. GravityForms
  2. YouTube videos
NCN does not make accessibility claims regarding the content controlled by third parties and is not able to make accommodations on third party websites or portions of our website using such tools.
