Steffen Bohni holds a Ph.D. in social anthropology. For a decade he worked in the management consulting industry. At Ramboll Management Consulting he was a member of the board of directors and responsible for evaluation, policy analysis and performance management. He advised national and local government and the European Commission on matters regarding the human services domain. In 2012-2015 he worked for the Danish National Board of Social Services, an implementing agency under the Ministry of Social Affairs. As a Deputy Director General he was responsible for developing the R&D policy, designing, implementing, evaluating and bringing to scale effective social interventions. From 2015-2018 he served as the managing director of children and ecucational services at the municipality of Gribskov. He was charged with delivering services to children and families including kindergarten, primary school, health care, and family services. Currently, he serves as the CEO of National Research Centre for the Working Environment, Denmark. He has published extensively on program evaluation, performance management and evidence-based policy-making. He is a member of the INTEVAL Group and a former board member of the Danish Evaluation Society.
