Mason Burley serves as the Director of Research at Innovia Foundation – the community foundation for Eastern Washington and North Idaho. He brings over 20 years of expertise in program evaluation, cost-benefit studies and statistical analysis of both administrative and survey datasets. He works with a variety of partners, including nonprofits, community coalitions, public agencies, university researchers, regional and national foundations, to examine community needs, set performance strategies, assess and communicate outcomes.
Prior to joining Innovia, Dr. Burley served as a Senior Research Associate at Washington State Institute for Public Policy (WSIPP) – a non-partisan state legislative research organization. During this time, he participated in all phases of program evaluation efforts, including study design, data acquisition and management, statistical analysis and review and presentation of findings to legislative and public audiences. While at WSIPP, Mason authored or co-authored over 50 reports and cost-benefit studies on policy topics ranging from education reform, criminal justice, higher education, child welfare, to behavioral health policy.
Dr. Burley received an interdisciplinary PhD in behavioral health services research from Washington State University.
