Jeff Edmondson is Managing Director of Ballmer Group, leading its efforts to identify how philanthropy and civic activism can help improve economic mobility for low-income children and families in the United States. Jeff directs Ballmer Group’s national strategy and oversees teams in Bellevue, Los Angeles, and Detroit.

Jeff is the former managing director of StriveTogether, where he facilitated the development and expansion of a national movement of over 65 communities working to improve educational outcomes and helping children succeed from cradle to career. Jeff was founding executive director of the flagship Strive Partnership in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky in 2006, and their work became a national model for the concept of ‘collective impact’ in 2010.

Jeff has been named an Ashoka Fellow, an Annie E. Casey Family and Children Fellow, and a Draper Richards Kaplan Social Entrepreneur. He received the 2012 American Express NGen Leadership Award, given annually to an individual under 40 who has made significant contributions to improving outcomes in the social sector.

Jeff works out of Ballmer Group’s Bellevue office. He and his wife Kelly have four children – two sets of twins!
