Trisha Gordon serves as the Vice President of Community Investment with United Way of Greater St. Louis and previously served as the Director of Community Investment. Trisha has been with United Way since 2012 and currently oversees more than $40 million in investments that support more than 164 nonprofit agencies within the health and human service sector throughout a 16-county footprint.
Trisha provides her guidance and expertise through a professional and consultation settings that focuses on strengthening capacity, enhancing nonprofit performance, promoting collaborative and collective impact efforts, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, internal and external to United Way. Through grant-making, learning and evaluation, and capacity building, Trisha ensures that funded agencies are good stewards of the investment and adhere to annual reporting and compliance requirements related to United Way’s quality standards and nonprofit best practices.
With more than 25 years in the social services and nonprofit sectors, Trisha has garnered extensive expertise in program design and implementation, project management, training and development, data and evaluation, continuous quality improvement, grantmaking, capacity building, relationship building and overall nonprofit best practices. Trisha is trained in the Baldrige Excellence Framework and Criteria which focuses on customer satisfaction, financial and market performance, human resources, performance of suppliers and partners, operational performance, governance, and social responsibility. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science, Master’s degrees in Business Administration, and Human Resources, and certifications in Entrepreneurship and Information System.
