Sherine is an Investment Director at Impetus, the UK’s pioneer venture philanthropy foundation, which she joined in 2013. At Impetus she is currently working with senior leadership teams to build high performing education and employment non-profits in the UK. Prior to this she worked in the microfinance sector as part of Grameen Foundation, and worked closely with Dr. Muhammad Yunus, to replicate Grameen Bank across the Middle East and Latin America. Sherine is hugely passionate about effective organisations that deliver social outcomes, equity for marginalised groups, and building an economy that prioritises people and communities. She’s originally from New York, holds an MBA from the London Business School and is a former trustee of ROSA, the UK Fund for Women and Girls.
