Dr. Kristin A. Moore is a Senior Scholar and Senior Program Area Director for Youth Development at Child Trends. She received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan. She has been with Child Trends since 1982, studying effective programs and practices, trends in child and family well-being, adolescent development, the determinants and consequences of adolescent parenthood, the effects of poverty and welfare on children, and positive development. Dr. Moore is a founding Board member of the International Society for Child Indicators. She currently serves on evaluation advisory committees for the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and Wings for Kids. She is also a Board member for the Policy Institute of the Family Impact Seminar, and she serves on the National Survey of Children’s Health Technical Expert Panel.
