Dana is the Managing Director of Monitor Institute, part of Deloitte LLP. Monitor Institute is a social change consultancy that works with innovative leaders to surface and spread best practices in public problem solving and to pioneer next practices – breakthrough approaches for addressing social and environmental challenges.

Drawing on her twenty years of experience as a strategist, advisor and nonprofit executive, she partners with the CEOs and management teams of national foundations and non-profits to improve their performance and maximize their impact.

Dana re-joined Monitor Institute as its Chief Operating Officer in 2010 after spending three years at Teach For America, where she led the organization’s human assets strategy. She began her consulting career at Monitor Group, joining the Institute in 2001, with a focus on issues of social impact strategy, social entrepreneurship and scaling.

Dana was a Morehead-Cain Scholar at The University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. She serves on the board of DREAMS of Wilmington, a nationally recognized program that uses the arts to create opportunities for at-risk youth. She lives in Wilmington, North Carolina with her daughter, where she can often be found in her garden, on her yoga mat, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe.
