Margot Rogers is senior advisor to President James Ryan at the University of Virginia. Previously, she was vice chairman and senior advisor at the Parthenon Group’s Education Practice. She also served as chief of staff to the U.S. Department of Education Secretary, Arne Duncan. From 2004 to 2009, Margot served in multiple roles at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, including deputy director of education and the special assistant to the director of education, where she managed the development of the foundation’s College-Ready education strategy and staff realignment, and also served on the education division’s investment committee and strategic leadership team. Margot holds a B.A. from Emory University, where she was a Truman Scholar, and a J.D. and an M.A. from the University of Virginia.
