Dr. James Stancil is a News Literacy Ambassador for The News Literacy Project in the Houston region and the Coordinator of Tutoring Services at Prairie View A&M University. He formed a 501(c)(3) organization, Intellect U Well, Inc., that promotes the joy of reading, media literacy, digital citizenship, and academic achievement in the Houston community, volunteers with the Houston Network of Outdoor Afro which seeks to reconnect African Americans with nature and the outdoors, and is a 2016 class member of the mentoring organization 100 Black Men of Metropolitan Houston. Along with his work in media literacy and digital citizenship, his academic interests include paranormal and anomalistic folklore within the African Diaspora.

The Leap of Reason Ambassadors Community is a private community of experts and leaders who believe that mission and performance are inextricably linked. Our resources are collaboratively developed and offered to the field to support organizations on their journeys to high performance.
